Indus Travel protects your personal privacy and it is very important to us that you feel confident that the personal information you share with us is in safe hands. We carry out all processing of personal data in accordance with applicable law and in this personal data policy we want to describe transparently how we collect, use, display, transmit and store your information and how you access and update your personal data with us .
What is a personal data and a personal data controller?
Personal information is any type of information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a natural person who is alive, e.g. name, social security number, postal address, telephone number or e-mail address. A data controller is the operator who, alone or together with others, determines the purpose and means of processing personal data.

How we collect personal information and what information we collect
Indus Travel collects personal data directly from you and through your use of our digital services.
In connection with booking or purchase
When you book a trip or purchase other products or services through Indus Travel, we collect personal information from you to fulfill your order. This may include information about the names, social security number, gender and contact details of both the person making the reservation or purchase and of other travelers. In connection with this, information about the purchase is also stored as order / reservation number, what was reserved / purchased, when and where the reservation / purchase was completed and payment information. If you leave comments or queries about, for example, diet or accessibility adaptations in connection with your booking, this is also stored in order to manage the services you order through us.
In connection with personal contact
We may collect personal information from you when you contact us, e.g. In store, through customer service, via email or form, via chat, on the phone, in connection with events or competitions, or in other ways. In addition to your inquiries or feedback, we also collect the personal information necessary to answer your question or handle your case, such as name, order / reservation number and contact information. We may also collect other personal information that you choose to provide to us, such as information about allergies, food preferences, health conditions or other information about you or other people on your trip or booking to administer the services you order through us.
When you use our digital services
When you use some of our websites or other digital services from us, we collect information about your use of the service, e.g. IP number, language settings, web settings, operating system, platform, screen resolutions and information about your geographic location. We also collect information about how you navigate the service, what searches you do and what travel products you are interested in. If you log into our platforms and online services using your user information from social networks such as Facebook and Google, you also agree to share your user information there with us. Indus Travel uses cookies to help us provide important features and functionality on our websites and to improve your customer experience, see our separate cookie policy.
If you accept marketing
If, in connection with your reservation, on our website or in contact with our stores or our customer service, you have agreed to receive marketing, we collect your e-mail address in order to send you an e-mail and other digital marketing. When you interact with digital marketing (such as opening or clicking on email or digital ads), we also collect information about those interactions, and if you provide information that allows us to identify you, we link your user pattern information with other information we have collected about you. If you choose to participate in our customer surveys, we may also store your answers from these.
From a third party
When booking and when contacting us with various questions, it appears that an individual provides personal information about one or more other individuals in a travel agency. If you have not made a reservation yourself, but someone else has made a reservation in which you are included, we will collect personal information about you from that person. The same applies if someone else has been in contact with us on your behalf.
If you have booked a trip or purchased a service through Indus Travel, we may share information about your trip with the travel agency or companies operating the trip, or with the company or companies providing the ordered service.
To keep your personal data accurate, we supplement and update your personal data by pulling from private and public records. This applies, for example, to address information and social security number.
Handling of personal data
In addition to what has already been mentioned in the previous section, we use your personal data for the purposes described below.
Delivery and administration of ordered services and products
Indus Travel processes your personal information for mediation, administration and delivery of your booked services and products, i.e. to fulfill the agreement with you. This includes booking and payment services with travel companies and other suppliers, issuing travel documents and managing changes. The administration also includes the use of your accounting, billing and auditing information.
Customer care
We use your personal information to provide you with the service you are entitled to in accordance with the agreement you entered into with us before, during and after your trip. We may use your personal information such as name and order / reservation number to identify you and your trip, and your contact information such as email address and telephone number to reach you with questions and information. We may also use any other personal information that we have collected about you to deal with your question or matter depending on what is relevant in each case.
Communication and information
When you have booked a trip or booked a service through us, we use your personal information for emails such as booking confirmations, payment reminders, payment confirmations as well as information about, for example, discrepancies and offers in connection with the trip or service. Such communications are made to the contact details provided in connection with the booking, in particular email address and telephone number.
Marketing and Personalization
On our websites, we use information about our users for personalization. This means that we use the information we have collected about you and your use of our services to influence the content of the website when you visit us. We also use personalization in our communications via social media and web advertising on websites other than Industravel.dk. However, we want to make you aware that you will not be able to use all the functionality of our websites.
If you agree to receive marketing, we may also use your personal information to send you targeted marketing by email or in other digital channels and use our booking history, your user pattern and preferences to tailor the content of marketing to provide you with the offers that we think are most relevant and interesting for you. You can opt out of such marketing at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided in our email marketing or by contacting our stores or our customer service.
Development of services, services and operations

As Indus Travel offers worldwide travel, many of the travel agencies providing travel (e.g. airlines, hotels, car rental companies and service providers at destinations) are outside the EU / EEA (EU Member States and Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein). This means that personal data can be transferred to companies in these countries for the same purposes as described above.
To be able to run and develop our business and to provide you with better service, offers and communication, we use various IT services, IT systems, communication solutions, customer and case management systems, analysis and investigation tools, payment solutions and partners which in some cases stores and processes personal data.
If required by law or permitted by law, we may share personal information with the state and government to the extent necessary.
All transfers are made to fulfill the purpose of the processing of your personal data as described above. We take all reasonable legal, technical and organizational precautions to ensure that your personal information is handled securely and with an appropriate level of protection when transferred to or shared with third parties. Ticket websites, e-mails and other services may contain links to websites operated by other companies and organizations that have their own personal data. Functions on our pages can also be linked to social media such as Facebook or Google, which also have their own personal data. Please ensure that you carefully read the terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy before submitting personal information to another organization or company’s website, as Indus Travel is not responsible for how those organizations treat personal information that you provide to them.
Storage of personal data
Indus Travel only stores your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose of processing in accordance with this privacy policy.
If you accept marketing, your personal data will be stored until you withdraw your consent to the marketing. You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided in our email marketing or by contacting our stores or our customer service, and you can cancel your membership of the Customer Club at any time by to contact our stores or our customer service.
Even if you have not consented to marketing, the personal data we collect at the time of a booking is stored until three (3) years have passed since your last booking. This means that if you do not make new bookings for three years, your personal information will be deleted from our customer database.
In the event that you have called us, we may store call logs and any recordings of your phone call for up to 1 year.
In cases where we store personal data to comply with legal requirements, e.g. the Accounting Act, it is the statutory requirements that determine how long we store your information.
The same personal data can be stored in several different places for different purposes. This may mean that a task that has been deleted from one system where it is no longer needed may still remain in another system where it is saved for a different purpose and still needed.
Protection of your personal data
We understand the importance of protecting and managing your personal information. We take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data from loss or unauthorized access, use, alteration or deletion. We continuously work with “data protection built in and data protection as standard”, continuously assess the risk of the personal data processing carried out and take the necessary security measures to reduce the risk. We regularly train our staff on data protection issues and our employees also have strict instructions for handling all personal data in accordance with applicable personal data legislation. At Ticket, we have a representative for data protection who has the overall responsibility for handling personal data in the group.
Your rights
Indus Travel is responsible for ensuring that your personal data is processed in accordance with applicable law. We will, at your request or on our own initiative, correct, delete or supplement any information found to be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, and we will continuously delete personal information when we have no right to continue processing it for legitimate purpose.
You have the right to request that your personal data be supplemented, corrected and in some cases deleted. You also have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be limited to certain purposes as well as the right to object to the processing (for example, if you question whether the personal data is correct or whether the processing is lawful ).
You also have the right, by means of a written, signed application, to receive a free copy of the ticket register, among other things, which personal data is registered about you, the purpose of the processing and to which recipients the information has been or is to be passed on.
If you do not want Indus Travel to process your personal data for e.g. direct marketing, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from our email marketing or by contacting us. Once we have received your revocation, we will cease to process your personal data for the purpose for which you have given your consent.
Contact and complaints
Indus Travel has appointed a data protection representative whose task, among other things, is to monitor that Indus Travel’s processing of your personal data takes place in accordance with applicable legislation.
